Any Weight Loss Teams ‘Hiring’? :P

Hi all, I was just wondering if any of the teams are looking for new members.  I haven’t been a very good girl but I am (once again) starting over and I thought the weekly weigh in might be helpful to keep me on track.  Please let me know - I promise to be a very good team member and add to your weight loss numbers!

Happy Birthday to me

Yes it’s the big day, the big 3-3 birthday. Of course I am working today and I know I have eaten stuff I shouldn’t have.    I just have to accept that these days come along.  Why is it that everyone expects you to indulge because it’s your birthday?  My hubby went to the coffee shop by our house while I was in the shower and got me a coffee and my favorite muffin - pumpkin chocolate chip pistachio.  So yummy!  I nstead of getting me my usual espresso (really low cal), he got me this decadent milky way mocha “since it’s your birthday”.  Not that it wasn’t delicious but ugh!  What a way to start!  I just came back from lunch - I had a nice salad and only two slices of my personal thai pizza I got so I feel all right about that.  Tonight hubby is taking me to a butcher shop that is supposed to do incredible steaks and I’m just going to have fun - I know I’ll be drinking and eating bad things and there’s nothing do but enjoy it.  As I said before, I can only take one meal at a time and try to be present in my eating choices.  Thanks for listening.

You guys are going to get sick of me..

It’s 1:00 pm and i haven’t quit my diet yet. LOL just kidding.  I’m hanging in there.  Walked two miles during lunch.  Ate a 90 calorie granola bar for my AM snack.  Just finished my Lean Cuisine.  I know what is missing from my diet - fruits and veggies.  Going to the grocery store after work to remedy that.  Really proud of myself that I went walking.  It’s hot and windy today and I SO didn’t want to go.  Made myself and feel pretty good right about now.

First Food Log

I’m going to have to start writing down what I eat.  My buddy Lise told me that it’s really helpful to keep you accountable.  So my blog will be boring but hopefully it will help.  So far today I have had a bowl of nature valley cereal with nonfat milk.  This cereal is probably not the healthiest but I’ve got to finish the box – must be frugal!  I have had two cups of coffee, a little cream, no sugar.  I’m really trying to guzzle the water – I know that’s important when you are starting a diet.  I may as well call it that – I haven’t been on track in at least a month.  Haven’t eaten anything else yet and it’s almost 10:00!  I don’t have much to eat for the day at work but I like to start a diet with restricting to give it a kick start.  Nothing major – I’ve got a granola bar for my snack, lean cuisine for lunch and another granola bar for the afternoon.  Just have to stick to it! 

Placed 3rd on Biggest Loser!

So we were doing the Biggest Loser here at work and I was really working hard.  It was for a one month period and I managed to lose 8 lbs.  So today they announced the results and I came in 3rd!  Woo hoo, that was pretty cool.  They announced it at this big meeting so when you go up to get your prize, you can just feel 100 pairs of eyes checking you out.  One of my co-workers said she overheard someone say ‘wow she does look good’.  That made me feel really good.  I know I have further to go but it was really encouraging to actually win something.  The prizes I won was this cool book called Eat This Not That! and it looks really interesting.  It’s all about fast food/candy/packaged food, how to make the right choices.  They also gave me one of those balls to exercise with, and another resistance exercise thing.  All in all, a nice take.  All right kids, onward and downward (on the scale)!

TGIF

Hi everyone,

 So glad it’s Friday!  The weekends are always a struggle for eating though, lots of different eating situations to challenge me.  I am going to a party tomorrow so that will be interesting.  I know I can do it though.  We just got a huge platter of cupcakes and cookies delivered - I got the grapes.  Lord, it’s so tough with all these pastries and donuts around every day at work.  I make sure to have my healthy snacks with me so I’m not tempted.  Gosh I love Buddyslim!  Everyone on here is so nice and supportive.  Thanks to everyone for making me feel welcome.  I am starting a weight loss challenge tomorrow so I really have to be good.  I have some momentum going so I just want to build on it.  We can do this people, let’s all stay strong and low low on the calories this weekend!  As I often think to myself, a moment on the lips, forever on the hips.  I know it’s so cliche but it really helps me! 

First Post

Hey all, I’m new here but I love the format of this site and I think it will work really well for me.  Did pretty good today - they had cake at lunch but I resisted.  :)  Yay me!  Everyone was like ‘it’s so good, aren’t you going to have a little??’  I had salad at lunch with a small piece of bread so not too bad.  My mom made chicken parmisan for dinner and I just had a little piece of chicken with no cheese and some wheat pasta and beets.  Okay right?  I have one more week for the Biggest Loser contest we are doing at work so I am really hoping to have at least 12 lbs. or most lost and hopefully I can win!  Glad to meet everyone on here and thank you for the wonderful support network.
